Dr. Yannie Soo is a Neurologist, Clinical Professional Consultant at CUHK. After graduating from CUHK in year 2000, she underwent neurology training at Prince of Wales Hospital, and overseas training in stroke neuroimaging in Massachusetts General Hospital, Boston. In 2012, she set up the first TIA clinic in Hong Kong and pioneered 24-hour thrombolysis using telestroke with iPad in the territory, which won the Asia Pacific HIMSS Healthcare award in 2013. Her research interests include acute stroke therapies, cerebral microbleeds, cardioembolic stroke, and intracranial stenosis. She is currently the Principal Investigator of a number of clinical trails, e.g. THALES, ESUS, ETNA-AF, IPAAC studies etc., and is leading a number of research projects supported by competitive grants.
