Byung-Woo Yoon

Dr. Byung-Woo Yoon is a Professor of Neurology, Seoul National University Hospital, Seoul, Korea.
His main research interest is the improvement of stroke therapy. He has published more than 300 papers including 201 international peer reviewed articles in the field of stroke.
He serves as an editorial board member of journals, including Stroke, Journal of Clinical Neurosciences and Journal of Stroke. He is a Council Member of Asia-Pacific Stroke Organization and the ex-president of the Korean Stroke Society and of the Korean Neurological Association.
He has led Clinical Research Center for Stroke, Korea, which developed Clinical Practice Guidelines for Stroke in Korea and established Korean Stroke Registry. As the national PI, he has participated in multinational clinical studies, including PROFESS, PERFORM, MAGELLAN, ATACH-II, NAVIGATE-ESUS, and ARUBA.
